Door
Tag Idea: Knowing and Recognizing Neighbors via Polaroid Photos

During
our training week we set goals to meet our outcomes for the year. One
of our outcomes was getting our residents to know and recognize their
neighbors.
One of
the ways we decided to meet this goal was to make door tags that included
a picture of the residents.
I took
pictures of my residents and framed them in a white border that was
even on the top and sides, but extra long on the bottom. This made the
picture look like one taken by a Polaroid camera. I then wrote their
names on the longer white part, much how it would appear in a family
photo album, and had them laminated.
They came
out looking pretty nice, and the residents really enjoyed them.
I also
offered the option for a new name tag with a picture of their choosing
to anyone who was displeased with the picture I took so there would
not be disgruntled residents who took their name tag down just so no
one would see that picture.
